The Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) is once again taking steps to support the growth of Indonesia’s halal industry by organizing the Indonesia International Halal Festival (IIHF) 2025. The event is set to take place from June 20–22, 2025, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan encouraged industries and micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) to promote their halal products by taking advantage of the available booth spaces. IIHF will feature certified halal products from a wide range of businesses—from large corporations to micro enterprises—as well as Halal Inspection Bodies (LPH) and Halal Product Process Assistance Institutions (LP3H). International participants from South Korea, Australia, the U.S., New Zealand, Malaysia, and India are also confirmed, along with major distributors such as PT Suri Nusantara Jaya.
Babe Haikal, as he is commonly known, stated that the event is expected to attract around 8,000 visitors daily. BPJPH also plans to distribute 10,000 free halal certificates to MSMEs through the halal certification assistance program, aiming to enhance their competitiveness and export potential. He emphasized that halal certification is not just about regulatory compliance but a strategic advantage for business growth. Beyond product exhibitions, IIHF will include entrepreneurship seminars, halal business talk shows, and Islamic discussions featuring prominent speakers. Haikal stressed that the festival also supports Indonesia’s ambition to lead the global halal industry and improve its ranking in the Global Islamic Economy Indicator. He concluded by urging stakeholders to collaborate in making “Halal Indonesia for the Global Community” a reality.
