On 11 June 2025, seven physical road improvement projects in the Core Government Centre Area (KIPP) 1B-1C, spanning 12.2 kilometres with a project contract value of IDR 3.04 trillion, were signed, as well as two supervision packages worth IDR 24.5 billion. This road project forms part of Batch 1 in the 2025 fiscal year development programme and is scheduled for completion by December 2025. The road will provide access to KIPP 1B and 1C, which is developing an area of 6,700 hectares for use as an educational facility, a health centre, and a mixed-use urban facility. As a result, it is expected that new investments will be made, leading to a significant acceleration in the overall development of the Nusantara Capital City area. Furthermore, the Nusantara Capital City Authority has entered into a cooperation agreement with 16 tenants from a range of sectors. These tenants will provide public services and daily living support facilities, including Excelso, Coca-Cola Vending Machines, BRI Bank ATMs, Indomaret, and Livin Lounge by Bank Mandiri.
Nusantara Capital City Authority Head Basuki Hadimuljono stated, 'For the first time, the IKN Authority is directly executing construction projects through an open tender and selection process, a significant step in the institutional transition from planner to implementer of national infrastructure development.' By 2025, physical construction in Nusantara Capital City will be funded by the State Budget (APBN) and carried out by the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas, and the Nusantara Capital City Authority. This road project signals the commencement of a series of significant developments, encompassing the construction of legislative and judicial buildings, along with their supporting infrastructure.
