At the Siemens Tech Summit 2025 on Wednesday, June 11, PT Siemens Indonesia signed several strategic memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with key stakeholders in the industrial and energy sectors, including the Ministry of Industry and state-owned utility company PT PLN (Persero). During a doorstop session, Surya Fitri emphasized that these MoUs mark a concrete step toward strengthening human resource development, advancing technology research, and integrating digital systems across Indonesia's industrial production chains.
The collaboration includes technical training, automation system development, and the implementation of sustainable solutions aimed at industries of all scales. It also features an MoU with WANTRII (Women in Tech, Research, and Innovation in Indonesia Initiative), promoting gender inclusion in the nation’s digital transformation. According to Siemens Indonesia’s press release, the scope of cooperation involves launching digital industry pilot projects, vocational training programs, and the adoption of renewable energy technologies. The Ministry of Industry highlighted this partnership as crucial in accelerating the implementation of the “Making Indonesia 4.0” roadmap, particularly in the agro-industry, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
