On June 11, 2025, the Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2025 was inaugurated by the Tourism Minister, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, in Nusa Dua, Bali. BBTF 2025 is the 11th annual edition of the event, targeting transactions of up to IDR 7.8 trillion. Minister Widiyanti stated that the presence of tourism industry stakeholders from various countries makes BBTF 2025 a business forum and celebration of resilience, creativity, and shared commitment in building a sustainable future for global tourism.
BBTF 2025 features the theme "Preserving Green Nature and Cultural Heritage for the World," and includes a range of tourism segments such as spiritual tourism and retreats, medical and wellness tourism, adventure tourism, and luxury accommodations and services. A total of 529 buyers from 45 countries participated in the event, with the largest delegations from Australia, India, the United Arab Emirates, and the Philippines. This event also connects buyers with 499 sellers from Indonesia, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, the United States, Namibia, and Thailand. Furthermore, during the event, awards were presented to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the cultural and environmental preservation of Bali's tourism industry. This included I Made Janur Yasa in the Sustainable Agriculture & Green Nature category, Prof. I Made Bandem in the Preservation of Heritage, Art, and Culture category, and Tjokorda Gde Putra Sukawati in the Guardians of Balinese Philosophy and Cultural Legacy category.
