Over the next five years, President Prabowo's administration aims to undertake large-scale infrastructure development with a total budget requirement of IDR 1.905 trillion, as outlined in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025-2029. The Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, has stated that the limited funds from the State Budget (APBN) only cover approximately 60%. Consequently, the remaining funding requires collaboration with the private sector.
Based on the total budget requirement, approximately IDR 678.91 trillion will be allocated from the APBN, while IDR 473.28 trillion will be sourced from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). The funding gap amounts to IDR 753.11 trillion. The target of approximately IDR 651.46 trillion is expected to be achieved through Public-Private Partnerships (KPBU) for 55 projects ready to be offered to investors. The projects aim to address fundamental infrastructure requirements and foster collaboration, with 24 projects focused on water resources, 19 road development initiatives, and 12 housing development programs.
