A micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) from Bantul Regency has succeeded in attracting the attention of the international market through canned fish products without preservatives. The business, named Dapur Bunda Nuryana, is owned by Sri Nuryana, a health graduate who used to be a civil servant (PNS) before deciding to focus on developing a culinary business typical of the south coast. Starting from a hobby of selling during college, Sri Nuryana can now open her own business in the Pantai Depok area, Parangtritis, Bantul Regency. With her cooking certificate, she has succeeded in honing her culinary skills into a product that is not only delicious, but also long-lasting and free from preservatives. "Actually, it can last up to 2 years, but we want to be safe, so a maximum of 1 year," she said.
She also revealed that the sterilization process for making canned fish products is carried out very strictly in order to maintain their quality. Dapur Bunda Nuryana has around 120 types of products. Current production is capable of reaching 500 cans per day. Judes Fish products are a favorite product of the local market. Meanwhile, for the export market, Pete Fish products mixed with anchovies are the mainstay. All products have been halal certified, and are sold at affordable prices, starting from IDR 40 thousand per can of 250 grams. "So one can is enough for three people," he explained. Meanwhile, in the export market, this product is priced at 16 US dollars per can or around IDR 260 thousand. Nuryana claims that the price that has been priced is cheaper than other similar products, because he buys fish as a staple directly from fishermen. Not only focusing on the local market, Dapur Bunda Nuryana is also actively developing exports. "Our products have entered the United States, England, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia," explained Joko Suwanto, Marketing Partner of Dapur Bunda Nuryana. In the near future, they will follow an invitation to France, representing Indonesian MSMEs in an international event, and are preparing to export to Singapore.
