The Jakarta Great Sale Festival (FJGS) 2025 returns with vibrant shopping deals, cultural festivities, and community activities aimed at revitalizing Jakarta’s economy. Running from June 10 to July 10, the festival coincides with the city's 498th anniversary. Over 100 shopping centers, in collaboration with the government and the Indonesian Shopping Center Association (APPBI), are offering discounts of up to 70%. Themed “The Ultimate Destination for Shopping,” FJGS 2025 includes live music, traditional Betawi fashion shows, and cultural performances. Events like Midnight Sale and a special prize draw featuring a digital eShopper Card further add to the excitement. The opening at Lippo Mall Nusantara was marked by high public enthusiasm, lively music by Sandhy Sondoro, and vibrant shopping scenes.
Beyond shopping, FJGS 2025 also supports local small businesses. Each participating mall hosts micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), showcasing traditional crafts like batik and Betawi-style accessories. CSR initiatives such as free health checks and blood donations enrich the festival’s social impact. According to FJGS 2025 Chairperson Mualim Wijoyo, this 18th edition targets IDR 15.5 trillion in transactions, surpassing last year’s figure of IDR 14 trillion. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed confidence in meeting this goal, highlighting strong public enthusiasm and city-wide promotion efforts. With its combination of discounts, cultural showcases, and MSME support, FJGS 2025 is not only a celebration of Jakarta’s birthday but also a strategic step toward economic growth and community engagement.
