PT Sport Glove Indonesia (SGI), a company under the supervision of Yogyakarta Customs and recipient of bonded zone facilities, has taken a significant step in strengthening Indonesia’s national exports. On Friday, May 23, 2025, PT SGI shipped high-quality sports gloves to various countries including the United States, Germany, Japan, and several Southeast Asian nations from its factory in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The export event was attended by Trade Minister Budi Santoso, who praised PT SGI’s consistent success in entering international markets. He emphasized that this achievement proves local Indonesian products can compete globally in both quality and scale.
Yogyakarta Customs Head Tedy Himawan also expressed appreciation, stating that PT SGI’s exports demonstrate a strong commitment to boosting non-oil and gas exports and enhancing domestic industry competitiveness. The exported gloves are made for well-known global brands such as Nike and FOX, reinforcing Indonesia’s role in the global sports industry supply chain. Customs authorities remain committed to providing ease and certainty of services for exporters, with bonded zone facilities serving as a strategic tool to support these export ambitions.
