Strengthening Economic Stability, Government Rolls Out IDR 24.44 Trillion Stimulus Package

The Indonesian government has officially launched an economic stimulus package worth IDR 24.44 trillion as part of its efforts to sustain economic growth and enhance national stability. This initiative was announced by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati following a limited cabinet meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace on June 2, 2025. The stimulus package is part of a broader short-term fiscal strategy designed to support public consumption, strengthen household resilience, and stabilize the national economy in the face of global uncertainties.

Joining Sri Mulyani in the announcement were Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf and Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti. The coordinated approach reflects a strong inter-ministerial commitment to ensuring that the stimulus is effectively implemented and reaches the intended beneficiaries. These policy efforts are expected to maintain momentum in the second quarter of 2025 and help achieve the targeted 5% economic growth. The government remains optimistic that this substantial injection will drive consumer confidence, support vulnerable communities, and foster a resilient, inclusive economic environment.
