PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN) is reinforcing its dedication to creating an environmentally conscious and sustainable industrial estate, in line with government directives. This commitment includes active monitoring, technical guidance, and enforcement of licensing requirements for all tenants within the Marunda Industrial Zone. Notably, KBN is currently assisting PT Dua Kuda Indonesia (PT DKI) in upgrading its environmental documentation and integrating hazardous waste management systems. PT DKI has also implemented wastewater treatment facilities and received technical approval for wastewater quality standards.
According to KBN’s Corporate Secretary, Desy Ika, regular monitoring is conducted through accredited laboratories to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Test results consistently show pollutant levels well within permissible limits. KBN also supports proactive initiatives by tenants, such as PT DKI’s installation of coal stockpile covers to minimize air pollution. This mitigation strategy preserves the function of the area while reducing environmental impact. Furthermore, KBN maintains strong coordination with relevant agencies to promote responsible and adaptive industrial practices. By upholding strict environmental governance and continuous system improvements, KBN ensures all tenants fulfill their ecological obligations and supports long-term sustainable operations.
