PT. TBS Industrial Indo in Jepara Exports Thousands of Women's Wallets to America for the First Time

PT. TBS Industrial Indo, located in Mayong, Jepara Regency, made its first export of women's wallets (wristlets) to the United States on Monday (05/26/2025). A total of 1,989 pieces of Coach brand women's wallets (wristlets) produced by the nation's children are ready to be shipped via Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. The export value recorded in this transaction reached almost USD 12 thousand. This first export cannot be separated from the role of Kudus Customs in carrying out its function as an industrial assistance and trade facilitator. It is known that PT TBS Industrial Indo, which received customs facilities in the form of a Bonded Zone, is a business entity with foreign investment from Vietnam which was the first to be established in the Kudus Customs work area.

Referring to the Customs Law in Article 44 paragraph (1), the Bonded Zone facility is an incentive provided by the government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance as an investment attraction. When a company has been determined to obtain Bonded Zone facilities, then the entry of imported or local goods to be processed or combined for export purposes will receive several facilities. Including facilities for suspension of Import Duty, exemption from excise, not being collected PDRI (Tax in the Framework of Import) and/or not being collected PPN or PPN and PPnBM. These fiscal incentives are expected to be able to increase the competitiveness of the national industry in producing competitive products in the global market. This first export is very important for the country because it supports economic growth and generates foreign exchange. Until now, Kudus Customs has actively served 206 cigarette factories, 31 companies receiving bonded zone and bonded warehouse facilities, 4 companies receiving KITE (Export Purpose Import Facility) facilities, and 13 companies receiving KITE IKM facilities. "All customs facility permits can be processed at the Kudus Customs Office free of charge. " said Lenni Ika Wahyudiasti, Head of the Kudus Customs Office in a press release, Tuesday (5/27/2025).
