The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) together with the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) officially launched the 2025 Indonesian Creative Export Acceleration (AKSI) program to accelerate the export of creative products based on MSMEs while strengthening the foundation of the national economy through creative economy diplomacy. Minister of SMEs Maman Abdurrahman, in his remarks at the launch of AKSI 2025 in Jakarta, Monday, emphasized that the creative economy and MSMEs are two faces of one spirit, namely independence and innovation. He highlighted the great potential of Indonesian creative products that have high competitiveness in the global market thanks to their cultural strength and uniqueness. "Creative entrepreneurs need a supporting ecosystem, starting from brand curation, increasing export capacity, access to financing, to global networks. This AKSI collaboration is a concrete form of government synergy in supporting creative MSMEs to move up a class," said Maman as quoted from his ministry's press release.
The AKSI 2025 program was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries, which is expected to be the first step in economic diplomacy based on creative products and MSMEs. "We are ready to support in terms of training, market access, and strengthening the digital ecosystem," said Maman. Furthermore, he said that one of the important breakthroughs in access to financing for MSME-based creative economy activists is encouraging the use of intellectual property (IPR) as credit collateral. According to him, this is a concrete effort to recognize the economic value of ideas and creativity.
