Gorontalo Regent Sofyan Puhi emphasized that the Pesona (Gorontalo Sharia Economic Week) and Tameto (Festival of Digital Economy and Finance) are strategic efforts to build a more resilient and inclusive economic foundation through a sharia-based approach. Held from May 23–25, the event was marked by strong enthusiasm and collaboration from participants across various sectors. He acknowledged current regional and global economic uncertainties and stressed the need for a fairer, sustainable system that creates equal opportunities for all.
In his closing remarks, Sofyan expressed gratitude to Bank Indonesia's Gorontalo branch for hosting the event in the region and extended appreciation to organizers, sponsors, business players, and the community for their shared efforts. He called on the public to continue supporting sharia-based MSMEs through local product purchases, promotions, and a healthy business environment. He also urged government agencies to work together to push affirmative policies, expand markets via digitalization, secure halal certification, and partner with financial institutions. Sofyan concluded by encouraging ongoing cross-sector collaboration to help Gorontalo become a prosperous, religious, and high-performing region grounded in Islamic values and local wisdom.
