Italian Investor's Project Progress, Indonesia's Oil Output Expected to Rise by 90,000 Barrels!

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has set targets for 2027-2028 of an additional 90,000 barrels of oil production per day. The Italian oil and gas company Eni will produce the potential additional oil in the Geng North working area, East Kalimantan. By 2030, the production target is expected to reach 1 million barrels per day, in line with the initial lifting target. The following targets have been calculated for 2028-2029: 800,000, 900,000 and 1,000,000 barrels per day. The two projects of Forel Field and Terubuk Field, located in the Natuna Sea offshore the Riau Islands, are also expected to contribute to an increase in national oil production by 20,000 barrels per day. Therefore, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, is optimistic that he can achieve the target of oil lifting in accordance with the 2025 State Budget (APBN). The target is to lift 605,000 oil. It is vital that all stakeholders cooperate to ensure the target is achieved.
