Digital Printing Business Projected to Grow 12%, Packaging Industry Emerges as Key Driver

The global digital printing industry is expected to grow by 9–12% annually through 2030, reaching a market value of USD 25 billion by 2025. This growth is strongly supported by rising demand in sectors such as textiles, packaging, and commercial printing. In particular, digital textile printing is forecasted to rise by 15% in 2025, while the packaging sector could see a 20% increase—largely fueled by the booming e-commerce market's need for personalized packaging.

To support this momentum, Krista Exhibitions is hosting the first-ever Jogja Printing Expo (JPE) 2025 at the Jogja Expo Center from May 21–24. The event, which also runs alongside related expos in food, beverage, packaging, and tea, aims to attract up to 12,000 visitors and showcase the latest innovations in printing technology, sustainable solutions, and advanced finishing techniques. Featuring 27 exhibitors—including 10 local SMEs—the expo positions itself as a vital platform for business networking, knowledge sharing, and industry collaboration. It includes curated business matching programs and insightful seminars covering print and packaging industry trends, sustainability, AI in MSMEs, and global market readiness. Leaders in the graphic industry, including the Indonesian Graphic Companies Association (PPGI) and HIPPI, welcomed the expo as a valuable opportunity to advance the domestic printing sector and strengthen Yogyakarta's role as a creative industry hub.
