The Ministry of Industry continues to foster new entrepreneurs across Indonesia, encouraging them to become adaptive industry players through various business mentoring programs. One such initiative is the Creative Business Incubator (CBI), which provides targeted support for entrepreneurs in the fashion and craft industries. In 2025, the Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Various Industries (IKMA), through the Fashion and Craft Industry Empowerment Center (BPIFK), launched the second phase of the CBI program in collaboration with business practitioners and academics. This coaching stage builds on the foundational training delivered in 2024, offering structured mentorship to ten selected creative businesses.
Research from Ciputra University shows that over 74% of mentored businesses tend to survive and grow, highlighting the value of such guidance. According to IKMA Director General Reni Yanita, this mentorship is crucial in scaling businesses, boosting production, and transitioning from micro to small or medium enterprises. The program’s alumni have already demonstrated success, including participating in international exhibitions and forging partnerships with global institutions. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s entrepreneurship rate, as reported by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2023, stands at 21.6%, outpacing neighboring ASEAN countries—though challenges remain in boosting value-added output and productivity. With promising young entrepreneurs like those in Coaching CBI 2025 already posting impressive revenue growth, the Ministry emphasizes continued collaboration across sectors to build a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem.
