Tangerang City has achieved an impressive IDR 4.3 trillion in investment realization during the first quarter of 2025, according to the local Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP). The figure includes IDR 2.8 trillion from domestic investment (PMDN) and IDR 1.5 trillion from foreign direct investment (FDI). Head of DPMPTSP Sugihharto Achmad Bagdja stated that this progress reflects investor confidence in Tangerang’s increasingly favorable investment climate, driven by the city government’s efforts to create a supportive ecosystem for businesses.
This Q1 performance represents 28.92% of the city’s annual investment target of IDR 15.11 trillion under the 2025 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). The investment has resulted in 6,099 active projects and created 36,375 jobs, spread across major sectors such as transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications (21%), followed by real estate and industrial zones (15%), and trade and repair services (13%). Foreign investment sources came from key countries including Singapore, China, the UK, South Korea, and notably Germany, which joined as a new investor. The city administration remains committed to streamlining licensing processes and ensuring legal certainty for investors. These achievements not only reflect strong economic performance but also highlight Tangerang’s growing competitiveness as an investment destination in Indonesia.
