During April 2025, the Ministry of Trade successfully facilitated business matching, resulting in transactions totalling USD 43.74 million, equivalent to IDR 722.76 billion. This included USD 32.20 million in purchase orders and USD 11.54 million in potential transactions. These included 20 pitching sessions and seven direct meetings with prospective foreign buyers. With a total of 73 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) participating, a wide range of notable products was showcased, including fashion, handicrafts, home decor, dried grated coconut, palm sugar, processed marine products, fresh fruit, animal feed, and various processed foods and beverages. These achievements mark a significant milestone in the Ministry's efforts to bolster the export of UMKM products, and the Ministry anticipates a sustained increase in this area in response to global trade challenges. The business matching activity forms part of the UMKM Berani Inovasi, Siap Adaptasi Ekspor (UMKM BISA Ekspor) programme, aimed to facilitate UMKM players in accessing international markets and ensuring the successful completion of every transaction.
The Ministry of Trade has held a total of 246 business matching events as of early May 2025, with total transactions reaching USD 57.61 million. From this total, purchase orders accounted for USD 36.11 million, with potential transactions amounting to USD 21.49 million. In total, 709 UMKM participated in the activity, facilitated by coordination partners including KADIN, Bank Indonesia, Bank BRI, Bank BNI, Bank Jatim, BCA, Bank BSI, Pertamina, Pelindo, Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI), Indonesian Export Insurance (ASEI), and other business associations. Collaboration among all parties in this regard is essential, including the strategic role of trade representatives abroad, such as Trade Attaches and Trade Consuls, and the Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), in facilitating connections between MSME players and global buyers.
