The Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center (BKHIT) of South Kalimantan has inspected 401 cubic meters of plywood, valued at approximately IDR 3.75 billion, intended for export to Germany and South Korea. The inspection aimed to ensure the plywood was free from live insects and pests, adhering to the phytosanitary requirements of the destination countries. Following standard operating procedures for plant quarantine, the BKHIT issued phytosanitary certificates, confirming the products met international export standards
This initiative reflects South Kalimantan's commitment to maintaining the quality and safety of its export commodities, thereby supporting the region's economic growth through international trade. By ensuring compliance with global phytosanitary standards, the province aims to strengthen its position in the international plywood market.
