Indonesian Vice Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti, received a courtesy visit from Park Soo-deok, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the South Korean Embassy in Jakarta, on Tuesday (May 6) at the Ministry of Trade office. During the bilateral meeting, both parties discussed concrete steps to enhance trade cooperation between the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and its South Korean counterpart. Key topics included optimizing the Indonesia–Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IK-CEPA), collaboration in strategic industrial sectors, and boosting bilateral investment.
Vice Minister Dyah Roro Esti emphasized the importance of maintaining stable and mutually beneficial trade growth amid global economic uncertainties. “We welcome South Korea’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Indonesia, especially in trade and investment,” she stated. Park Soo-deok, in turn, expressed appreciation for the strong relationship between the two nations and hoped to further expand cooperation, particularly in technology and green industry development. This meeting is part of Indonesia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international trade ties and broaden market opportunities for Indonesian products.
