The Ministry of Trade will enhance the logistics system by integrating data between ports and logistics industry participants through digital infrastructure, thus facilitating the growth of exports to non-traditional markets. The government's strategic objectives include the implementation of a dependable e-logistics system, facilitating data connectivity between ports, and ensuring that national forwarders possess the necessary digital infrastructure to compete on the global stage. This export expansion is also intended to mitigate global challenges, such as protectionism. In light of Indonesia's current processing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the BRICS+ trade agreements, which collectively hold significant market share, it is essential to implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy to bolster the national logistics system in the future. As part of the trade diplomacy strategy in the negotiations, tariffs, smooth cross-border logistics flows from customs, quarantine inspections, and digital document recognition are also being considered. Indonesia will proactively promote technical cooperation and harmonisation of logistics standards with partner countries as part of an active trade diplomacy agenda.
