Indonesia achieved a potential transaction value of USD 537.61 thousand (approximately IDR 9.02 billion) at the HOMEDesign 2025 exhibition held from April 9th to 13th, 2025, at Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center, Hungary. This event showcased Indonesian furniture products, home appliances, accessories and home decor that highlighted their quality and design to the European market. The significant interest from international buyers underscores the growing demand for Indonesian craftsmanship in the global home design industry.
Also participating are Sony Sentral Industri, an UMKM that produces recycled teak wall panels, eco-friendly wooden wall cladding, door frames, suar tables from trembesi, and furniture. Meanwhile, PT. Jelajah Akara Nusantara is an exporter of furniture and home decoration products made from sustainable rattan. The success at HOMEDesign 2025 reflects Indonesia's strategic efforts to penetrate non-traditional markets and promote its non-oil and gas exports, particularly in the furniture and home decor sectors. Such international exhibitions provide a platform for Indonesian exporters to establish business relationships, explore market opportunities, and enhance the visibility of their products. The positive reception in Hungary is expected to contribute to increased export volumes and the strengthening of Indonesia's presence in the European market.
