Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, along with East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Kadin Chairman Bobby Lianto and Bank Indonesia NTT Representative Agus Sistyo Widjajati, officially dispatched a shipment of moringa-based products from Kupang to Qatar on Monday afternoon (April 21). The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, sending off a 20-foot container filled with moringa tea, moringa biscuits, and sorghum biscuits to Tenau Port. In addition to Qatar, NTT’s moringa products have also reached the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Singapore, and Timor-Leste.
Anindya stated that despite global trade tensions, Kadin continues to seize opportunities to promote local NTT products abroad. This latest shipment marks the fifth moringa export since 2019. "Kadin is proud to open up as many markets as possible, and the export success of La Moringa’s MSME products is truly remarkable," he said. La Moringa founder Andre Hartanto revealed that the five export rounds have totaled around USD 30,000, highlighting the strong global demand for moringa. At the event, La Moringa and local moringa farmers under the guidance of Bank Indonesia signed an MoU to ensure a steady supply of raw materials, with La Moringa acting as the designated off-taker.
