On 14 April 2025, PT Sunrise Steel exported 6,000 tonnes of national zinc aluminium steel (BjLAS) to the United States. The shipment was transported by sea from the North Jamrud Pier, Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya, and was labelled under the brand name Zinium. Since 2023, PT Sunrise Steel has been exporting BjLAS Zinium products to the United States, Australia, Puerto Rico and Canada, with the demand continuously increasing. The products are renowned for their superior quality and competitiveness, outperforming similar products and other brands from foreign countries. PT Sunrise Steel has innovated by creating Zinium Diverso products, the only BjLAS product that has a different layer period on both sides. This has been recognised with a Certificate from the National Innovation Research Board (BRIN). This year's exports by MV Wisdom Line with the Break Bulk system are a strategic move by PT Sunrise Steel in response to the new US tariff policy. The company urges the government to continue its diplomatic and negotiating efforts to ensure that Indonesian steel products remain exempt from the tariff policy.
