On 13 April 2025, the Syiah Kuala University (USK) Patchouli Research Center (ARC) exported a one-tonne consignment of patchouli oil to France through the local branch of PT Ugreen Aromatics International, in collaboration with Nat'Green, a French company. The export product is produced by local farmers from different regions in Aceh, with the price of patchouli purchased from farmers at IDR 1.2 million per kilogram. Since 2018, PT UGreen Aromatics has exported Aceh patchouli oil to France 30 times and to Spain three times.
