Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, is actively promoting the province's diverse investment opportunities, with a focus on green economy, circular economy, and tourism, including religious tourism. During a strategic meeting with Bank Indonesia’s Central Java Office on April 14, 2025, Luthfi emphasized the need for local and provincial governments to fully capitalize on these prospects to support regional development.
He reiterated that Central Java’s Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) is aligned with national food security goals, aiming to achieve food self-sufficiency to bolster domestic industries. As Indonesia's second-largest food-producing region after East Java, Central Java plays a critical role in national supply chains. Over the next three years, the province will prioritize investment in industry, agriculture, and circular economy sectors. Luthfi also stressed the importance of preparing comprehensive environmental and economic impact assessments to ensure each project is investor-ready. By building a solid foundation, he believes Central Java can attract strategic investments that align with sustainable growth goals.
