Bahlil said that critical mineral cooperation with Saudi Arabia is a step taken by the government to implement the principle of an active free economy. "Indonesia contains the principle of active freedom. Any country that wants to cooperate with Indonesia, please," he said. Regarding the steps of the National Energy Council (DEN) through Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan who previously said he would offer Indonesia's critical minerals to America, Bahlil said that cooperation with Saudi Arabia does not immediately close access to cooperation with other countries. "Including America, China, Saudi Arabia, Korea, please. There is no problem. They benefit, we benefit. They are happy, we are happy," he said. As a note, previously as one of the negotiation steps due to the US trade war and reciprocal tariffs, Luhut said that President Prabowo had given the 'green light' to carry out critical mineral cooperation with the US. "They asked about critical minerals, and I answered yesterday that the President had given the green light," said Luhut at a Sarasehan event held in Jakarta, Tuesday (08/04). According to Luhut, the US government really needs a supply of critical minerals for the development of their industry and Indonesia is considered able to meet the needs of Uncle Sam's country.
