Indonesian Food and Beverage Products Generate IDR 736 Billion in Singapore

Indonesian food and beverage products generated USD 43.7 million (approximately IDR 736 billion) during the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) 2025 exhibition held at Singapore Expo from April 8–11. This achievement stems from seven export contracts valued at USD 32.2 million, covering products such as cocoa, chocolate, honey, and organic spices. In addition, there are around USD 11.5 million in potential transactions for popular items like instant noodles, organic snacks, and spices. Indonesia’s participation, coordinated by the Ministry of Trade through its Trade Attaché and Embassy in Singapore, reflects a collaborative effort involving government agencies, state-owned enterprises, Bank Indonesia, and the private sector.

According to Indonesia’s Ambassador to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, this joint initiative highlights the power of cross-sector collaboration in promoting Indonesian products globally. Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, emphasized the strategic role of the food and beverage sector, which has supported exports with an average annual growth of 10.55% from 2020–2024. She stressed the importance of continued and synergistic promotion involving banking, SOEs, and other sectors. In January 2025 alone, Indonesia–Singapore trade reached USD 2.27 billion, with non-oil and gas exports amounting to USD 583 million. Over the past five years, bilateral trade has grown at an average of 9.42%, totaling USD 33.72 billion in 2024.
