Investment potential in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) continues to show positive development. According to media analyses and observations by academics, NTT is increasingly attracting investors, both from within and outside the region. Investments have spread across 21 regencies and 1 city in NTT, with a focus on medium-scale investments. Siprianus G. Tefa, a lecturer at the Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Nusa Cendana University (FEB Undana), pointed out that the most promising sectors for development in NTT are still dominated by physical investments, such as buildings, property, and business development. Additionally, financial investments, such as stocks and bonds, are starting to grow, though not as rapidly as in Western Indonesia.
Siprianus also highlighted a shift in social investment patterns, particularly in education, which has begun to gain traction in NTT. Previously, high-quality educational institutions were only available in Java, but in recent years, Kupang has become home to several bilingual educational institutions that have emerged within the last five years. "Education investment has been present for a long time, but the bilingual concept has only emerged in the last five years and has become part of the new trend of social investment in NTT," he concluded during a discussion with RRI Atambua.
