Jakarta's Exports Rise 5.92% in February 2025, Reaching Four-Year High

Jakarta’s export performance saw strong momentum in February 2025, with total exports reaching USD 1.51 billion, a 5.92% increase from USD 1.42 billion in January, according to BPS DKI Jakarta. This marks the highest monthly export value the capital has recorded in the past four years. The surge was largely driven by the non-oil and gas (non-migas) sector, which grew by 5.95% month-on-month and accounted for a dominant 99.90% of Jakarta’s total exports. In contrast, the oil and gas (migas) sector declined by 17.98%, but its minimal contribution did not hinder overall growth. The key driver behind the increase in non-oil exports was the manufacturing sector, which rose by 6.67% during the same period. As Jakarta's industrial base strengthens, its processed goods continue to be a major contributor to the capital’s export profile. The figures reflect a resilient and evolving export economy in Jakarta, showing that despite fluctuations in the energy sector, the capital’s diversified manufacturing output continues to support export expansion. This growth underscores Jakarta’s important role in the national trade landscape and highlights the effectiveness of ongoing industrial and trade policies aimed at boosting the non-oil sector.
