Banjarnegara's economic growth in 2024 saw a significant increase, reaching 5.11%. This was announced by Regent Dr. Amalia Desiana during the DPRD Plenary Session held at the Banjarnegara DPRD Meeting Room on Tuesday (25/3/2025). In her accountability report for the 2024 fiscal year, Amalia highlighted that this growth was driven by development policies focusing on key regional sectors, including agriculture, MSMEs, and the creative industry.
Beyond economic growth, Amalia also noted a decline in the open unemployment rate to 5.57%, down 0.69% from the previous year, while the poverty rate fell to 14.71%. Banjarnegara’s inflation rate remained stable at 1.67%, and the GRDP per capita increased by 6.43%, from IDR 25.97 million in 2023 to IDR 27.64 million. She emphasized that these achievements resulted from collaboration among all regional stakeholders and urged continued synergy between the government, businesses, and the community to sustain economic growth in Banjarnegara.
