Indonesia recorded exports worth USD 196.86 million to Papua New Guinea in 2023, a 19.5% decline from the previous year's USD 244.56 million. Despite this drop, the long-term trade trend between the two countries remains upward. Among the top export products, soap and cleaning agents led with USD 17.55 million in exports. Other major exports included edible preparations (USD 16.74 million), aluminum (USD 15.43 million), fertilizers (USD 13.62 million), and milling industry products (USD 13.04 million). While these figures reflect a decrease from previous years, Papua New Guinea remains a key market for Indonesian exports, alongside other major destinations like the U.S., China, and Germany.
