Indonesian-made cars are gaining traction in the global market, with exports experiencing a significant surge. According to the latest data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), total vehicle exports reached 70,212 units in the first two months of 2025, marking a 3.4% increase from the same period in 2024. In February 2025 alone, completely built-up (CBU) car exports hit 36,789 units, up 10.1% from January’s 33,423 units. Toyota led the export market, shipping 11,827 units in February, followed by Mitsubishi Motors, Daihatsu, Hyundai, and Suzuki.
In addition to CBU exports, Indonesia also shipped 4,398 completely knocked-down (CKD) vehicle units and an impressive 10.7 million auto components in February 2025.
