In January-February 2025, motorcycle exports increased by 15.5% year on year (yoy), according to the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) report. Total shipments reached 84,777 units, marking an increase from the same period in 2023 of 73,366 units. Key factors contributing to this surge in exports in early 2025 include the weak rupiah, robust demand from export destination countries such as Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and America, with the highest exports to countries such as the Philippines, the Middle East, and Greece. AISI has divided several export achievements into schemes, as outlined below: Firstly, CBU motorcycle exports increased to 43,899 units from 40,878 units previously, representing 7.3% growth; CKD motorcycle exports increased to 738,084 units from 674,701 units previously, representing 9.3% growth; and part by part exports increased to 11,856,166 units from 8,922,483 units previously, representing 24.7% growth.
