The Bantul Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) has successfully completed 195 infrastructure projects under the 2025 Public Works Program. The initiative, which began on February 18, ran smoothly with no major issues. According to Rumiyati, Head of Job Placement and Workforce Expansion at Disnakertrans Bantul, this year’s projects exceeded expectations in terms of material quality and execution, significantly improving from previous years.
Although the initial target was March 13, all projects were completed ahead of schedule, requiring only minor refinements. To ensure durability, newly constructed roads will be restricted from heavy vehicles for 21 days. Additionally, efforts are underway to ensure that workers’ wages are disbursed before Eid to support their holiday expenses. The program not only enhances rural infrastructure, including concrete roads, drainage, and retaining walls, but also empowers local communities by providing employment opportunities for residents without stable jobs. This initiative has received positive feedback due to its direct impact on both infrastructure quality and community welfare.
