CBU Motorcycle Exports Reach 43,899 Units in February 2025

The Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) reported an increase in motorcycle exports for February 2025. According to its official website on March 10, 2025, AISI now categorizes exports into three schemes: CBU (Completely Built-Up), CKD (Completely Knocked Down), and Part by Part. CBU motorcycle exports rose by 7.3%, from 40,878 units to 43,899 units. Meanwhile, CKD motorcycle exports increased by 9.3%, reaching 738,084 units from the previous 674,701 units. Part by Part exports also saw significant growth, rising 24.7% from 8,922,483 units to 11,856,166 units. However, detailed distribution by scooter, underbone, and sportbike segments was not provided.

Octavianus Dwi Putro, Marketing Director of PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), acknowledged the strong export growth in early 2025. He attributed this rise to increased demand in the Philippines, Vietnam, and other countries. AHM’s biggest export markets remain the Philippines and Vietnam, with models like the ADV 160, Vario 125, and Beat being the most popular. He also noted that economic recovery in these countries has contributed to higher motorcycle demand.
