KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta recorded a 27% increase in freight transportation, moving 24,290 tons of goods in February 2025 compared to 19,113 tons in the same period last year. This growth reflects rising trust in railway logistics, known for its efficiency and environmental benefits. The majority of transported goods included 22,781 tons of fuel, followed by 1,201 tons of parcels and 308 tons of long-haul cargo, significantly contributing to the regional economy.
In addition to enhancing rail infrastructure by replacing wooden sleepers with synthetic ones for improved safety and reliability, KAI Daop 6 achieved an On-Time Performance (OTP) of 100% for departures and 90.83% for arrivals. These initiatives align with the company's commitment to sustainable logistics, reducing road congestion, minimizing pollution, and lowering transportation costs.
