PIK Area Is A Special Place For The Tourism And Creative Economy Sectors

The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy and Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, highlighted Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) as a special destination known for its blend of business, recreation, and culture. This unique combination plays a crucial role in supporting the tourism and creative economy sectors. Speaking at the Kilau Ramadan: 1001 Malam Batavia event in PIK on March 8, she emphasized that such moments foster religious tolerance and unity. She reiterated the government's commitment to strengthening interfaith harmony and embracing cultural diversity through creative economic activities.
Irene also clarified that Batavia PIK is open to all, not limited to any particular ethnic group. She encouraged visitors to enjoy the food, entertainment, and shopping experiences offered. Highlighting PIK's inclusivity, she described it as a space where everyone can celebrate tolerance and creativity. Running throughout March 2025, Kilau Ramadan will feature various attractions, including the premiere of the animated film Jumbo and Desa Timun, a local intellectual property project showcasing Indonesian culture.
