To support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Kediri, particularly in the creative industry, the Kediri Regional Crafts Council (Dekranasda) has established a packaging house. Eriani Annisa Hanindhito, Chair of Dekranasda Kediri, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Kediri Regency Government’s commitment under Bupati Hanindhito Himawan Pramana’s leadership to empower local entrepreneurs. The packaging house allows SMEs to create customized branding without relying on external suppliers, fostering a unique identity for Kediri’s products.
In her second term as Chair, Eriani aims to provide comprehensive business assistance, including training, product packaging enhancement, licensing support, and digital marketing workshops. She hopes these efforts will accelerate SME growth and competitiveness in wider markets. Dekranasda is also collaborating with various stakeholders to elevate East Java’s local crafts to national and international levels. According to 2024 data, Kediri has 25,833 micro-businesses, with dedicated support from the local government, including marketing assistance and legal certification facilitation. This holistic approach is set to strengthen the region’s creative industry and economic potential.
