The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that wood pellets became the dominant commodity in Gorontalo's exports for January 2025 with a weight reaching 20,370 tons. Head of BPS Gorontalo Province Mukhamad Mukhanif said that in January 2025 Gorontalo Province recorded exports of USD 5 million and wood pellets contributed USD 2.7 million. Wood pellets are also exported to Japan and Korea alternately.
