PT. Indo Prowell Lestari recorded its first export in 2025 after obtaining bonded zone facilities from the Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region Customs Office (Jateng DIY) last year. In February 2025, PT Indo Prowell Lestari successfully exported 1,200 kilograms or 1.2 tons of thermoplastic powder to Vietnam with an export value of USD 5,400 or around IDR 88.9 million. PT Indo Prowell Lestari is a manufacturing company with thermoplastic powder products located in the Batang Integrated Industrial Area (KITB), Central Java. Thermoplastic powder is a polymer material in powder form that melts when heated and can harden again without significant changes in its chemical composition. Generally, this material is used in the coating industry.
The use of bonded zone facilities by this company is supervised and assisted by Tegal Customs to ensure smooth operations and compliance with customs regulations. The Coordinator of Tegal Customs Hanggar who is assigned to PT Indo Prowell Lestari, Firmansyah Hendra Kusuma, expressed his hope that this initial export will be a driving force for the company to continue to increase its export volume in the future. For information, a bonded zone is a facility provided to companies that need raw materials, auxiliary materials, or imported capital goods with a suspension scheme for import duties and taxes. This facility requires companies to process imported goods domestically before being re-exported, thus having a positive impact on the company's cash flow, especially for industries with high import rates. In addition to contributing to increasing the country's foreign exchange, this export also has a positive impact on the economy through the creation of jobs.
