East Java's 2025-2030 Regional Development Plan envisions the province as the "New Gateway of the Archipelago," aligning with Indonesia’s 2045 Golden Vision. Deputy Governor Emil Dardak emphasized the importance of economic connectivity, particularly with eastern Indonesia, by strengthening industrial and trade value chains. He also urged local leaders to optimize existing programs to prevent policy overlap and ensure efficient budget use.
Emil highlighted the need for innovation in governance, urging leaders to adopt technology-driven solutions and involve communities in policymaking. Prioritizing education, infrastructure, and economic growth, he stressed the role of MSMEs in regional development and the importance of sustainability in economic policies. Collaboration across government levels is key to achieving impactful and inclusive development.
