The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Central Sulawesi is strengthening its role in regional economic development following the enactment of the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (UU P2SK). Collaborating with local governments, OJK Sulteng is mapping economic potential and identifying key products to boost growth. Improved financial access is expected to enhance competitiveness and create new business opportunities, said OJK Sulteng Head Bonny Hardy Putra in a statement on Friday (28/2/2025).
An initial assessment focused on durian and cocoa commodities, with a coordination meeting on February 20, 2025, involving the Parigi Regency Government and the Indonesian Durian Plantation Association (Apdurin). Bonny Hardy Putra also visited durian export company PT Timuran Sinar Terra and PT Silvia Amerta Jaya to support local industry growth. To strengthen financial sector synergy, OJK Sulteng met with state-owned and rural banks to expand financing access for durian plantation entrepreneurs.
