A total of 13 small and medium industries (SMEs) of automotive components (suppliers) and 18 Slers (tech startups) fostered by the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) will be involved in a business meeting on February 26th - March 25th, 2025. The business meeting, which will last for three weeks, will be held through the Startup for Industry platform (matching hub) which allows SMEs to find system integrators, tech providers, or tech startups that provide technology solutions to be applied in their businesses. This was conveyed by the Director of SMEs for Metal, Machinery, Electronics and Transportation Equipment (LMEA) Dini Hanggandar in an official statement from the Ministry of Industry, Thursday (27/2). "Through the matching hub system, the SME sector can find providers of appropriate technology solutions to be applied in their production lines, so that they are able to compete in the industrial era 4.0," he said.
In the business meeting, Dini continued, a selection was immediately held for the needs of suppliers with the technology offered by SIers by the JICA Team and the LMEA IKM Directorate. The next step is to determine the recipients of the 4.0 technology implementation facilitation in automotive component IKM (suppliers) using technology solutions from SIers for three months, namely from May to July 2025. Previously, the Ministry of Industry through the Directorate General of Small, Medium and Miscellaneous Industries (Ditjen IKMA) collaborated with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to hold a Kick Off Match Making for automotive component IKM and System Integrators at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/2). The Kick Off Match Making activity is part of the technical cooperation project for the development of the automotive industry implemented by JICA with the Ministry of Industry. We want to encourage digitalization and automation in automotive component SMEs to be more competitive and innovative through the application of technology 4.0.
