President Prabowo Subianto revealed that the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) will invest in more than 20 high-impact national projects. Prabowo said that Danantara is not just an investment management agency, but will be a national development instrument that will optimize the way the government manages Indonesia's wealth. In 100 days of his leadership, Prabowo has earned state savings of around USD 20 billion or equivalent to IDR 300 trillion from government budget efficiency, which will be managed by BPI Danantara. The funds, which, according to Prabowo, come from government spending that is not on target, will be invested by Danantara in more than 20 national projects. "Now the funds will be allocated to be managed by Danantara Indonesia, invested in 20 or more national projects as part of our industrialization and our downstreaming," said Prabowo.
Prabowo assessed that these projects will have a high impact that will create significant added value for the Indonesian nation, create quality jobs, and long-term prosperity for the Indonesian people. "We no longer want to sell our natural resources cheaply, we do not want to be a source of raw materials for other nations. We are determined to become a developed country," he said.Prabowo explained that the USD 20 billion fund for the 20 strategic projects is the first wave of Danantara investment, which will be focused on mineral downstream projects such as nickel, bauxite, and copper. Other projects that will be focused on are the construction of data centers, artificial intelligence, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, food and protein production, aquaculture, and renewable energy. "These are the sectors that will determine our future, our resilience, and the independence of our nation. The formation of Danantara Indonesia marks a new era for BUMN, which is seen not only as a business entity but also a national asset that will become an agent of development and growth," said Prabowo.
