The Ministry of Industry, through the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency (BSKJI), is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesia’s halal industry. According to the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2023/2024, global consumption of halal products is projected to reach USD 2.4 trillion (IDR 37,200 trillion) in 2024 and USD 3.1 trillion (IDR 48,050 trillion) by 2027.
BSKJI Head Andi Rizaldi emphasized that Indonesia has strong potential to become a global halal industry hub, supported by its large Muslim population and internationally recognized halal standards. Strategic initiatives, including halal standardization and certification, will further strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global market.
