Attended by economic experts and political analysts, the event explored Indonesia’s economic direction, investment potential, and political landscape. CEO Henoch Munandar emphasized the bank’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth amid dynamic socio-economic conditions, aligning with the government’s target of 8% year-on-year economic growth in 2025. He urged both public and private sectors to maintain economic momentum despite global uncertainties, stressing the importance of innovative financial solutions to drive meaningful and inclusive growth.
The forum also addressed Indonesia’s economic and investment outlook for 2025 amid global geopolitical tensions and trade wars, which pose risks to emerging markets. Despite projections of a global economic slowdown, Indonesia’s economy remained resilient, growing by 5.03% in 2024, with a 2025 forecast of 5.2%. Experts highlighted key investment areas, including downstream resource processing, renewable energy, food security, healthcare, digital economy, and the new capital city, IKN. Discussions also covered U.S. policies affecting global markets, such as tariffs, tax cuts, and labor dynamics, which could impact inflation and interest rates. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s political landscape remains stable, with high public approval for President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, bolstered by strategic economic moves like joining BRICS to expand export markets beyond the West.
