Indonesia's Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, accompanied by Purworejo Deputy Regent Dion Agasi Setiabudi and other officials, officially released the export of local Purworejo products, including coffee wood and coconut rope dog chews, to Europe and America with a total valuation of USD 2.2 million. The export release event took place in Pekutan Village, Bayan District, on Tuesday (25/02/2025) and was marked by a flag-waving ceremony. Budi Santoso emphasized that this export aligns with the Ministry of Trade’s programs, which focus on protecting domestic products, expanding export markets, and enhancing the competitiveness of MSME products in the global market.  

Purworejo Deputy Regent Dion Agasi Setiabudi expressed full support for local entrepreneurs who seize global economic opportunities, highlighting that exports not only boost the regional economy but also create jobs. Chief of Corporate Affairs at PT Astra International, Riza Deliansyah, underscored that strong collaboration among stakeholders is key to enhancing local product competitiveness. Dewi Harlas, Director of PT Eco Choo, emphasized that each export shipment represents a significant contribution to national foreign exchange and Indonesia’s MSME sector. She hopes for continued government support to further empower regional MSMEs.
