The governments of Indonesia and the Kingdom of Norway have agreed to extend their partnership on climate and forestry issues until 2030. Norway has contributed USD 216 million towards Indonesia's verified results in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. Norway's results-based contribution is managed by the Government of Indonesia through the Environmental Fund Management Board (BPDLH). Norway's Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's leadership and its important role in global climate action. The extension of this collaboration highlights Norway's ongoing commitment to supporting Indonesia in protecting forests and the global climate.
