Indonesia and Norway Extend Forestry Partnership

The governments of Indonesia and the Kingdom of Norway have agreed to extend their partnership on climate and forestry issues until 2030. This move will strengthen their collaboration and underline their commitment to achieving ambitious targets. Norway has contributed USD 216 million towards Indonesia's verified results in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation. Norway's results-based contribution is managed by the Government of Indonesia through the Environmental Fund Management Board (BPDLH). Norway's Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's leadership and its important role in global climate action. The extension of this collaboration highlights Norway's ongoing commitment to supporting Indonesia in protecting forests and the global climate.

The Indonesian Minister of Forestry, Raja Juli Antoni, has announced the second phase of the Community Fund for Environmental Services. This aims to extend the reach of its benefits and create new opportunities for individuals and organisations dedicated to forestry and environmental issues. Proposals can be registered digitally via the BPDLH website, ensuring efficient and immediate handling.
