PT Agraria Indonesia Berdaya (Agradaya) and Rose Asia Est For Foodstuffs, a Saudi Arabian company, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This marks a commitment to export candlenuts worth USD 150 thousand (IDR 2.4 billion) over the next two years. Agradaya is one of the micro, small and medium enterprises supported by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo). Pelindo's Group Head of Corporate Secretariat Ardhy Wahyu Basuki stated that Agradaya's success in entering the export market demonstrates the effectiveness of Pelindo's social and environmental responsibility programme in promoting economic empowerment.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Agradaya and Rose Asia Est for Foodstuffs is a follow-up action from the Trade Expo Indonesia 2023-2024 event, through a pitching and business matching programme. In addition to Agradaya, dozens of MSE groups are receiving support to increase their business capacity, through curation, incubation, and marketing facilitation. The support provided by the programme has resulted in the development of Local Pride Spot outlets, participation in national and international exhibitions, and facilitated business matching.
